Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor was his second wife. The two got married in 2003 and had two children named Samaira and Kiaan.

Their marriage couldn’t become a successful one. Karisma Kapoor even made several allegations against Sanjay Kapur, and their divorce took place in 2016.

After the divorce from Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapur married Priya Sachdev in 2017. Priya was an entrepreneur and model. After marriage, they had one daughter.

Karisma Kapoor Goes to Court for Inheritance

After Sanjay Kapur’s death, Karisma Kapoor and her two children filed a petition in the Delhi High Court for his property, saying that they are the rightful owners.

In addition They said this is their right, but Sanjay Kapur’s third wife Priya Kapur refused to give them any share of the property.

Priya Kapur showed a will in which it was written that after Sanjay Kapur’s death, all his property belongs to Priya Kapur. In this matter, Karisma Kapoor’s lawyer told the court that:

“The will shown by Priya Kapur is fake, made so that Karisma Kapoor’s children can be kept out of Sanjay Kapur’s property.”

Samaira and Kiaan have demanded that the court order a complete investigation to find out how much property Sanjay Kapur actually had and who has the legal right over it.

Priya Kapur’s Story

When this property case began, Priya Kapur’s lawyer presented a will that was made on 21 March 2025.
In that will, it was written that Priya Kapur is the heir of Sanjay Kapur’s entire estate.

Priya Kapur told the court that this will is not fake but genuine. Sanjay Kapur himself had made this will. All the legal formalities were properly completed, and there is nothing false in it.

She also said that before this case even started, Karisma Kapoor’s children had already received ₹1,900 crore worth of assets — so what more do they want?

But Karisma Kapoor clearly denied this, saying that her children haven’t received any amount yet, and their bank accounts are empty.

Delhi High Court Order

This entire case is going on in the Delhi High Court, and after hearing all the arguments, the court passed the following orders:

Priya Kapur must submit all asset files.
She has to include all movable and immovable properties.
Priya also needs to share details of all bank accounts.
She must provide details of all the investments made by Sanjay Kapur.

After these orders, Priya Kapur’s lawyers requested the court to keep this information confidential. But the court did not accept this request and said:

“If all this information is kept confidential, then how will the children know how much property their father owned? This matter must remain transparent.”

The judge said that everyone has the full right to know about the assets.

Sanjay Kapur’s Missing Bank Accounts

After the court’s order, Karisma Kapoor’s children claimed that many of their father’s bank accounts are missing, and several of them have no money — they’ve been emptied.

Their lawyer said that now nothing is left in Sanjay Kapur’s accounts — all the money has been taken out.

This shows that after Sanjay Kapur’s death, someone was handling his accounts, and when this case started, all his accounts were cleared out.

After knowing all this, the court ordered that Sanjay Kapur’s remaining bank accounts be frozen, and all transaction reports must be submitted.

Priya Kapur’s Reaction

Priya Kapur has denied all these allegations and said that all of this is false. Her lawyer said that Karisma Kapoor’s children are already rich and have received a good amount after Sanjay Kapur’s death.

They said that Karisma Kapoor is making her children lie, saying that they have not received any money.
Priya’s lawyers claimed that this case has been filed only to gain media and public attention.

They also said that all of Sanjay Kapur’s transfers were legal.

Now, Karisma Kapoor’s children have said that the will shown by Priya Kapur is completely fake. The will was made in a hurry so that no one would suspect anything.
They said that there is no witness verification proving that this will is real.

Karisma Kapoor’s lawyer appealed that if this will is proven fake, then Sanjay Kapur’s entire ₹30,000 crore property should belong to Karisma Kapoor’s children.

Priya Kapur’s Counterclaim

Priya Kapur, while making her counterclaim, said that this matter is not about money.
She said:

“Karisma Kapoor is questioning my dignity and reputation. Sanjay trusted me, and I will never break his trust. I will protect his legacy.”

Priya Kapur further said that her daughter Safira is still very young and does not understand all this, so people should not involve her in this matter.

The Sanjay Kapur property case has now become so big that a video went viral on social media showing the lawyers of Karisma Kapoor and Priya Kapur arguing loudly inside the courtroom.
